I shudder to think of how large a case that holds 8 handguns PLUS ammo would be.....I prefer my gun case and I bring a second range bag for mags, ammo, ears, glasses, tools, etc. By the way... +1000 on caseclub.com products....VERY nice.

If you are only looking for a hard case then disregard. I personally would avoid anything that looks like it holds guns or tools. Both scream out to thieves. Also a non-gun case exempts you from being e-checked. I have a small carry on size duffel that I put pistols, ammo, targets, and everything else I need for a range session. Pistols go in gun rugs to prevent scratches. Extra side pockets are great for storing tools, eye protection, and other range necessities. Hard cases are too bulky for me.

Pick up a Pelican 1510 or larger with the pick and pluck foam so you can customize it to your liking. Should only cost you less than $150

that is pretty nice, do you have one?? if so do u like it??

I need a case that holds more than six so I got a big Pelican case that holds about 10 pistols. The setup (case and pick and plug foam) is just $100. I really like mine. Will upload pix when I get home.

Yea I like the idea of making my own case. Average tool boxes are too flimsy and cheap, I could snap a lid off with my bare hands, so the pelican case will be a must. I like the backpack idea, but I'll probably carry a backpack with ammo and gear anyway.

Pick up a Pelican 1510 or larger with the pick and pluck foam so you can customize it to your liking. Should only cost you less than $150

plus one for Pelican. They make a LOT of different sizes. I'm sure one will be the perfect size you want. They also come in different colors. You can get "pluck" foam, that is foam that is cut part way through into little cubes and you just pluck out the ones that you need to make your gun fit. Makes it very easy to customize to any gun you have. I have a .22 that is way long and this was the perfect answer for hard to fit sizes. Works with any size gun.

for a lock, pick up a padlock that is also ok for travel. TSA officers may inspect the contents of baggage at their discretion and will cut off a luggage lock if necessary to do so. Using a TSA-accepted luggage lock, which officers can open with a master key, helps keep your lock intact and baggage secure.

I got a TSA approved pair of locks for $8.00 each.

This is what I use;
It is an oldie.
It was bought for $50 used
Holds 5 hand guns.
Has storage front bottom and a separate compartment in the rear.
Both compartments are lockable.
There is a scope mounted on the lid.

After 2 hours of cleaning just 3 guns, I think you may be correct.

From what I recall, you don't use TSA locks on a gun case. The gun case should be locked with a non-TSA lock and then cable locked to a luggage frame and the luggage should have a TSA lock. You don't want just anyone to have access to your guns.
