IMO, guns are already expensive, getting extra parts for them is even more expensive. If you were suggesting it for the hobby, do whatever floats your boat. But if it is a case of home defense concern, you will statistically never have to defend yourself. You are better off modding the house with an alarm system. That being said, anything that your life may depend on, get it professionally done. There are quite a few smiths with reputations, usually with specific brands, that can get the job done right. I'm not from your area, but I'm sure someone here can point you in the right direction.WTS HK USP45c http://www.calguns.net/calgunforum/s....php?t=1304283Comment

I e been struggling with the question myself. I want to mod my g17. It feels good to have skmethjng no one else has thats my main motivation. I shot a custom m&p the ither day it was nice. But idk.
The cost doesnt really justify the changes. Gun parts are to expensive.Comment

juelz919.. yea i agree. this is my first handgun ever and when i finally bite the bullet on the P01 and thanks to this site and CZ forums out there.. there's tons of parts to be swapped out to smooth out the trigger. but for glocks, there's a lot of 25 cent trigger jobs you can DIY on youtube. the funny thing was i did all the research for the glock19 thinking to get one and in the end, the ergo on the glock just didn't feel right to me.. whereas the CZ was like a fitted glove.Comment

I do not modify HD guns, aside from those modifications specifically allowed by LE departments, for their officers duty use. Namely, night sights and the addition of a rail mounted light.
My gut tells me it's smarter to follow their configuration.Comment
