    LEO and intra-familial transfer

My stepdad is an LEO, he will be transferring to my mother.

What information does he put in the HSC No.: block if he isn't required to have one? does he just leave it blank?

also, just to be sure...the CURRENT owner fills out block A? or would my mother, the NEW OWNER, fill out block A?

Your mother (the recipient) is whos HSC number needs to be entered. The transferor doesn't need an HSC to sell or transfer.

That said, I'm not sure husband to wife qualified for intra-familial.

The person that fills out the form is the person receiving the firearm, not the person gifting the firearm.

I don't think a form is required to transfer from husband to wife, I assume this is being done to transfer to you? Then just have your mom give them to you and YOU fill out the form not her.

Spouse to spouse transfer is an operation of law and is required to be reported. [PC 27920]
