Just polished up my RRA 2 stage match trigger and did a very slight bend on the hammer springs, undoing the bend the navy gunsmith did at the regional Navy matches - also polished the trigger and hammer pins....now its 2 pounds 11 ounces. Started the day at 5 pounds 3 ounces.
Polish hammer and trigger pins - 8 ounces
Bent hammer springs 5 degrees (back to straight) - 1 pound
Polished two stage sear surfaces to remove paint and rough tool marks - 1 pound
Beat the crap out of the lower with a rubber mallet, banged the stock on the ground a few times....sear still holds through all of that abuse. No real change to the sear angle except the polishing. A slick surface is a slippery surface!
