Holsters are shooter specific. Holsters vary in design depending on use and quality.

So, you're more than likely not going to use a competition kydex holster if/when carrying your gun (CCW). And you're not going to see a lot of OWB pancake style holsters in competition. vice versa...

So, OP... what's the purpose of your holster?

The fate of the wounded rest in the hands of the ones who apply the first dressing.

I have a couple of defense wear kydex holsters that work great but the lgs is out of stock and the website is 70 dollars. I just ordered one from performance shooting for 49. I will see how good it is.

Alien gear makes some good hybrid holsters for about $40.

I like how you can buy and swap the kydex shells to use with different guns.

Exactly...almost any reputable mfr's holster will last and therefore deliver great value. I have a Comp Tac that has been averaging 20,000 draws per year for the past few years and it looks like it might last forever -- I can't really tell that it's been used at all

Now I have a Bladetech that feels just as sturdy, but I feel like it's a bit faster, so I'm going to put 20,000 draws a year on that and see how it goes. Get any kydex from a decent mfr and you'll be fine.

Raven. It's a real company with a real lifetime warranty (including if you break it) and the chances of them being around in 5 years vs some Raven copycat made in some dudes garage holster, is a lot greater.

Yes, some of these one man shops make great holsters.

Sidearmor. Heavy duty, well made, fits like a glove, takes a beating.

This place is a good bang for your buck. One time I got sick of waiting for 2 bravo holsters I ordered (7 week wait) so I ordered from black dog and got them in 3days!! Lol. I was able to use them every weekend for over a month waiting on the others. The guy said to use it for 30 days, if you don't like it return it for full refund. It's decently priced and zero wait.

Although Ide rather use my bravo holsters

Hard to say on Value. There are a lot of really affordable ones out there but some are much better than others. So it is hard to say.

My favorite brand overall is Blade-Tech. They seem much more thought out than other brands and they have versions that are geared more for training/duty and others that are geared more for concealed carry.

My least favorite brand is Fobus. They stick just a little too much and slow you down.
