Consignment gun same as New purchase?

If I bought a used/consignment gun today. Do I need to wait another 30 days to buy a new gun?

Just make sure it is listed as a consignment on the DROS form. If they mark it as a used gun, you will get hosed for a 1 in 30.

So one of your purchases was a new gun. Not all consignment guns?

If you are worried about it for SSE reasons, just pay for it now, then DROS it next year. The dealer shouldn't care as long as it is paid for. I have bought two new guns on the same day, and then came back 31 days later to DROS the second gun.

Yup, I've done the same thing before. Bought two guns and DROSed one and waited 30 days later and DROSed the 2nd gun.

I thought the 30 days only was on NEW guns.
Used, either PPT or from the FFL was not included in that.
                Am I wrong?

New vs. Used does not matter, it's the transfer type that matters.

SO a PPT is fine but not buying from the FFL inventory?

I bought used from an FFL that didn't transfer the gun to himself but made it a PPT transaction.
The seller was an estate that he bought from and left the transfer open to make it work as a PPT.
He said the law doesn't state that both parties have to be present.
                      Sounded fishy to me.

Correct. Furthermore, non-roster guns in PPT transactions will be hard to come by and will not be sold inexpensively. It's going to be nasty.

And in a year or 2 when ALL the semi-auto pistols fall off the roster because of micro-stamping, ALL semi-auto pistol prices will go up.

                            Looking @ my DROS.

                            New/Used: Listed as USED.

                            Transaction type: Private Party Transfer

I guess that makes it a Consignment?

Thought last day to DROS for SSE was 12/31?
