    SSE pistol, what if?

What happens, after Dec 31st, if one has an issue with an SSE'd pistol that requires replacement of the frame? Let's say a crack in the polymer or some other defect, or perhaps a pin walking due to an oversize hole.

If the manufacturer warranties the frame this will require another DROS correct? If not, how is the new serial # dealt with?

Then, since the pistol is not on the roster and was a SSE, how will that be handled since SSE's will be no more?

    Anyone know? Thanks!

They're not liberals, they're leftists. Please don't use the former for the latter. Liberals are Locke, Jefferson, Burke, Hayek. Leftists are progressives, Prussian state-socialists, fascists. Liberals stand against the state and unequivocally support liberty. Leftists support state tyranny.

But this isn't just on SSE pistols. This would also include anything you bought in the past that the manufacturer decided not to renew on the roster.

Yep, the roster will void your warranty for anything that is not on it or that drops off of it. It is a completely unjust and unfair in this way. I wonder if there will ever be any lawsuits over this?

It can be done. You might want to see the discussion in these threads:

We did run into the non-roster issue several times, and we handled that by calling up our DOJ contact and explaining the situation. After a day or two we were notified via phone, fax, and mail that we could go ahead and DROS under the "Pawn/Consignment Handgun Redemption" option in the DROS menu. When selecting this option, all firearm information fields are blank and any make of gun can be selected, and the rest of the info you manually enter into the fields (model, barrel length, serial number, caliber, etc.). The "Pawn/Consignment Handgun Redemption" option is intended for the original owner to be able to get his potentially non-roster handgun back in the event he's redeeming it if he pawned it or he put a gun on consignment but changed his mind and wants it back. Because a non-roster, replaced serial number, repaired gun is not within the bounds of the intent of this DROS option, we need the approval and like I said, we always got it.

Well, if you're worried then don't shoot your gun and keep it as brand new and sell it after January 1st, 2015. Your problem is solved and you'll get your money back.

Yup! The libtards not only made sure that we don't get new guns, but we won't be able to get our old ones repaired.
