It's worth what someone is willing to pay for it.

I have an older w. German 228. Love it. Will never sell it. So oddly enough, it's worth more to me than to others. What it would take for me to part with it is far more than anyone would pay.

You obviously are willing to part with it for less. What is your "less"? That's what it's worth to you. Ask for that. Get it and you'll be happy. Can't get it, then you're still happy because you will have the best 9mm ever built.

They're not liberals, they're leftists. Please don't use the former for the latter. Liberals are Locke, Jefferson, Burke, Hayek. Leftists are progressives, Prussian state-socialists, fascists. Liberals stand against the state and unequivocally support liberty. Leftists support state tyranny.

There's a shop in San Diego that has a similar vintage P228 on consignment for $1,000, very clean and very low round count. I looked at it but the asking price was just too high. Also has a laser max rod. That one has been up for sale for 4 months with no takers.

True test would be list it in marketplace and see what offers you get.

I know I have the original parts somewhere but I never had the box.
Also this is the original finish. TruDot sights need to be refreshed.
This is one of three 9mm in my safe, other 2 are a Glock26 and a HK P7M8.
The G26 is my go to conceal carry workhorse and the P7 I believe is even more accurate than the 228.
The P7M8 would probably be the pistol I would never part with… which is also why this 228 doesn’t see the light of day anymore.

I really wanted to see if there was love out there for the Sig 228 and sounds like that’s a resounding Yes.
Doesn’t sound like its an inexpensive $400-$500 plinker, if it was I wouldn’t waste valuable Safe Space on it.
Also very much appreciate your comments and experience with the 228 and joining my discussion on it’s Worth not just its COST.
I’m not ready to test it out on the market for fear someone might bite on the price I’ve got in my head and…
I would have to turn my house upside down looking for the original parts.

UPDATE: I found all the original Sig 228 Parts today!

            Merry Christmas Everyone!
