    Question on the Glock 19/23

Hello fellow Calgunners! I have a question in regards to the Glock 19/23. Ok, so I have a Glock 23 generation 2 and a Glock 19 generation 3. I know they share the same frame size, but have different internals as one is 9mm and the other is .40 caliber. What I want to do is switch frames, so I would have the 19 full slide assembly on the 23 generation 2 frame and vice versa having the 23 full slide assembly on the 19 generation 3 frame. Now my question is can I do this by switching out the internals from one to the other? Even though the generation 2 has 1 pin compared to the generation 3 having 2 pins?

If you mean putting a 19 slide on a 23, and vice versa, yes it will work. Locking blocks are different. Other internal parts may be different.

      .
I believe only the ejector will be different, but they can be swapped.

ETA: btw within the same generation the 19, 23, and 32 locking blocks are the same. between generations is where the variation lies, gen2's and early gen3's have identical locking blocks, later gen3's the locking block was enlarged. I'm not sure whether that would prevent it from functioning if swapped though, I don't own a gen2.

You have a G23 with a 2 pin and your G19 has the 3 pin. That will be a good swap as long as the locking blocks are compatible. You'll have to switch the ejectors of course and everything should be fine depending on the locking blocks.
