    NIB mod 66

I bought a S&W 13-3 several months ago, I like it a lot. The wife likes it so much its now her night stand gun. So today I'm wondering around the gun show in Ventura and a guy has a model 66 no dash NIB just sitting there. DAMN! Made in 1973 still unfired? wow if I buy something I just have to use it, play with it , fondle it ect. but it was still new. Lonely , just waiting for me I guess. $750 a little pricy but an original no lock pined barrel model 66 is hard to come by around here. I'll just have to tell the wife its for my birthday is all. Pictures in 10 days ............

Nice find if it's truly unfired NIB. I have 66-1 in good shape and it's my nightstand gun.

Quite a score. Good eye. I love the older Smiths.

Just divide $750 by 20 years and calculate how much per month

Not clear what that has to do with anything?

I don't consider $750 pricey at all. Seems like a pretty good deal to me.

It's not like shopping around for a Glock. These opportunities don't come around everyday.

You were wise to grab it.

I paid $300 for a good used 6" 66 in 1978, and bought a 19 with TH, TT, RR, WO same year. I also paid $300 for it. I was taking home $200 a week at the time. It's all relevant. If you want it, buy it, the price is right.
