I don't think you'll get $1500-$2000 due to the fact that you have Glocks that are in the same category. However, if the roster doesn't go away then who knows.

The 10 wait was overturned and it's still tied up in court. The state of California is supposed to be "Shall Issue" were still fighting.

Overturning the roster is going to be a huge fight. We might be looking at a couple years.

Why pay $1500 for a XDm? When you can get a Sig or a HK? All better quality handguns than the xdm. Dont get me wrong i own a xd and xds. I love them but for $1500 ill pass. Keep the price low dont gouge your brothers.

Depends on user likes. Not everyone likes the goofy looks of the triggers of sigs n hk's. No everyone wants to fumble with a safety for a sd gun. Not many if any will compete with a sig or hk....hence u see xd's glocks mp 1911. And i will neva buy a gun from a mfg that advertises a pic with boolits loaded in the mag backwards. Lololol..sad lol

Don't blame the people for asking high prices, blame the state of California for such nonsense gun laws which created the situation. Supply and Demand - it's simple as that. If it wasn't for those people flipping off-roster guns, the few that are in the state would cost even more and you would never get them for almost any price. I personally don't care if someone is trying to sell an off-roster gun for a high price, that's the economy for those here in California. Blame the laws.

I have 3 XDm's. They are not $1000 guns. I'd rather buy a very nice, on roster gun than pay that kind of money for an XDM. As someone mentioned above, it's a $600-$700 pistol in the free states. I'd be embarrassed to tell someone I paid 1000 bucks for one. All of this nonsense about paying SSE fees: there are plenty of us that have only infrequently, or never, had to pay SSE fees for new guns, depending on your ffl. So including those fees in your price is a ridiculous proposition. This is how you see people with PPQ 's in the marketplace looking to trade a $500 gun for a $1000 1911.

There wont be a shortage of total supply but it wont be a buyers market. You will need to convince someone they should sell it. The amount on the market at any 1 time will be small.

Yes, there will be a shortage of off-roster handguns available for sale in California until the roster is defeated in court. That's the point of the law, unless another loop-hope is figured out. The amount of guns bought over the past two years amount to very little in comparison with the demand.

The demand was in large part created by the sense of urgency brought on by SSE going away. I'm not saying they aren't desirable guns, but come on. Yes they will carry a premium, but double the price? Doubtful. There will be a shortage like there has been a shortage of FDE Glocks. I'm sure a few guys will pay $900 for one.. but not enough to satisfy the endless amount of bumps on all those for sale threads.
