Being poor and SSE going away...

Granted I was able to complete my AR and get my 1st autoloading 12ga. this year, SSE going away with all its pistols suks for a poor fellow like me.

My defunct list was:
-Ruger SR22 or 22/45, came and went
-Sig 1911 Scorpion carry will be leaving
-Dan Wesson Valor will be leaving

At least in my consolation, CZ TS and CZ SP01 is in the roster. I'm almost halfway there in getting my TS.

What's even worse is that after getting my long guns and trying out a couple of 3-guns matches, I realize I'm a handgun guy.

Buy yea, being a gun nut and poor at the same time suks. Anybody in the same boat as me?

Im looking forward to owning some on roster guns actually. I like them and they happen to be available. I have a few guns now, one off roster and i still shoot a lot. Hold off on guns and spend cash on ammo, its more fun than safe queens!

You may be able to get the Sig and the Dan Wesson. I believe that 1911's are one of the platforms that will be supported in SSE 2.0.

it was a good run for me i just had to tighten up the budget in other places real tight.

But you complain about being poor, but you wanted a Valor. Theres plenty of other 1911's at a quarter of its price. Its like me going to BMW and complaining i cant afford a 7 series with my $20k a year job.

Theres plenty of options still available for the coming year, dont worry. Or maybe your FFL can give you a 30 day lay away plan.

Hey balmo, ease up on yourself. Few of us will ever own exactly what we want, cause the more we got, the more we want, the higher the cost.

Be happy with what you got and shoot them as much as you can. Maybe given time, find a handgun you really want, save up some cash for a good downstroke, find a dealer that does layaway and go that route.

Truest statement I've seen. Also having disposable income doesn't mean as much if you have a sucky family ask me how I know. Strangely I could have bought any off roster handguns I wanted but didn't bother. I'm not rich but I have a lot of disposable income. I plan on moving out of CA in 1-3 years or so. Also I refuse to get gouged.

I saw people paying double the cost of some guns to SSE them when you figured out all their expenses. Itend to find interesting and good deals anyhow on older used off roster guns anyhow on regular occasion. I am always on the hunt.
