    Problem with USPc

Just picked up my NIB USPc 9mm from Turners on the 5th. Took it to the range today along with my USP .45.

So I get on line and start to shoot (Remington 9mm luger) About 5 shots in get a stove pipe. (Hmmm Never had a problem with the .45.)

Maybe I didnt have enough lube on it. Clear the chamber release the mag and took it apart and lubed it up. Or a little limp wristed.

Put the same mag back in with 5 rounds left. I'll be damned another stove pipe 3 rounds in. I even had a feed problem. Where the round just didnt load after a cycle.

Shot 50 rounds and had about 8 stove pipes and three feed problems.

So I got some reloads from the range. Same thing happened. I'm like what is going on.

Is this common with the USPc? Should I be worryed, contact H&K? Or is this normal until a few hundred rounds go through it?

BTW this is my 4th hand gun and never had any problem like this before.

Hk make great guns! You did say its NIB, so I would put over 1000 rounds just to brake it in. Plus you did say its a USPc 9mm, 9mm is not best round in the world! You may have to buy the Best 9mm ammo around and use alot of +P rounds too.
Did you clean the Mag too?
Germans make great tools but they do need to a longer Brake in.
    Just my 2 cents

Try a little bit of +p rounds to loosen up the springs or work the slide a few hundred times.

I don't buy that it needs to be broken in. This a handgun from one of the worlds leading manufacturers. A USP is a gun you should be able to count on to save your life. I would contact HK and let them know right away. I own a USP .45 Full Size and never had one problem from the time I took it out of the box. I don't buy it's a 9mm bullet problem. My Beretta 9mm never needed a break in period. I would be pissed too bro. I am a huge HK fan. Now there may well be a defect in the gun I mean it is a mechanical instrument. It is possible. But for the most part NO feeding or ejecting problems should be occurring from an HK handgun that costs that much. JMHO. Mike

P.S. please let us know the outcome of your problem

Sounds like a possible magazine problem. I seriously doubt it needs to be broken in. Its not like its a super tight 1911 or anything. As far as the caliber is concerned 9mm is a fine caliber. That has ZERO to do with the malfunctions. If new factory ammo is used i cant see why this thing is malfunctioning. You shouldnt have to run $20 a box defensive ammo to get it to be reliable. I would get another factory mag and try it again. If it still being fussy send it back to HK. They have decent customer service. They will take care of you.

PS: My buddy REALLY liked the USP. He wouldnt shut up about it. haha.

I called Turner's and they said bring it in we will send it to HK. Shipping 30$ ><. He said HK most likely will pick up the cost later. And that he has never heard of an HK usp having any problems.

First thing he said " Is it a Kimber" LOL No a USP He said me and my buddys try to make a HK miss feed or stove pipe. 10,000 later not one problem.

I sent an email to HK. See what they have to say.

Yeah dealing with turners is like trying to reason with a child. So they are going to send it to HK? Make sure you get them to send it overnight and get a shipping confirmation. I have a buddy who works for turners and she says they routinely screw up sending a gun back to the manufacturer or take several days to do it. You dont want it just hanging out at the store with those yahoo's playing with it.

What other handguns do you own?

Usually the lighter guns will be more prone to failures from a weaker grip.
