    CZ 97B renewed....?

I just checked today and this is listed

    CZ 97 B (Black) 01401 / Steel Pistol 4.658" .45 ACP 12/31/2015

This stated 12/31/2014 just yesterday. So, are they going to make this model again or are they renewing for no particular reason?

I haven't heard anything about it. The old model has already been replaced and has not been common for a while now. The new 97 has different parts so it will not be making it on the list.

Maybe its a bug? Maybe the CA DOJ gave CZ a free year for Christmas.

Maybe, but every model that was expiring 12/31/2014 have been renewed.

That's odd. Just a couple hundred bucks so maybe CZ's AP programming just kind of auto paid. Probably no one deleted it out of their payables program.
        Model isn't even made anymore.

It is possible they they extended it due to existing stock of the old model, but the old model is scarce. Strange indeed.

Is the difference just the aluminum grips? They could easily bring that back then.

They made a batch or Phantoms earlier this year, so you just never know I guess.

Glock continues to renews their Gen3 OD and C models. Springfield continues to renew their 1911 full rail. They are all "technically" discontinued.

I guess Para got tired at the end of this year.

Thanks for the heads up. I was told over the phone by a CZ rep that they would renew it even though it wasn't imported anymore. He said it was so that used ones could be purchased. However, another CZ rep I emailed wouldn't give me a straight answer. So, I was a little worried since I purchased that exact model this month off gunbroker, but couldn't start DROS until Jan. Now I am worry free!

My guess would be so that you could get an on roster from new old stock or used out of state. Local PPT doesn't matter obviously. At least they're trying to help people get it in some manner.
