Ebay Sight Pusher

Has anybody used this sight pusher from ebay?

I'm planning on changing out the sights on a double stack glocks and a glock 42.

Let me know if you've had any experience with the sight pusher or recommend me a sight pusher that won't cost more than the gunsmith fees.

I use that one, or a clone of it, but I paid more and got less (fewer aluminum blocks included with it).

It works fine, I've used it on a bunch of guns. Though I kind of wrecked it a bit on an M&P Shield front sight. The pusher is aluminum, the sights are steel. If it's really stuck in there, the aluminum will give first.
It's quite nice for making small adjustments, like centering the sight. I mean, it's easier than trying to center a sight with a punch and hammer, though for removing a sight a punch and hammer work well.

I hate to stir things up here but I feel compelled to say that this sight pusher on eBay is probably a knock-off.

I'm pretty sure Fisher Solutions is the inventor/manufacturer and they have a U.S. patent for their tool.

I agree with above thread, just buy the original fisher sight tool. It's much stronger and will not strip the threads.

Glock sights don't need a pusher. Carefull place in a vise and slide the rear out with a maple dowel and hammer.

If you're doing XD sights...you need the fisher tool but Glock sights slide out easy.

I use an MGW tool made for Glocks. It won't work with a G42, but I don't plan on changing the sights on my 42. I have used it a dozen times on my other Glocks though and its been perfect. It also allows for precise centering of the rear sight at the range for adjustment w/out having to use a hammer and rod to beat on the sight.

I use a MGW. I prefer that the slide locks onto the base. It was $120. I have a dozen or so Glocks, so it wasn't worth messing up a sight or slide with one of these make-shift solutions. BTW it handles the G42 just fine...you just need the correct adapter which is <$30.
