    CZ 75A VS beretta 92fs

First post, please bear with me if i sound like a n00b

So i have a friend that is selling his Beretta 92fs $300 with 6 mags. I would love to get this pistol but i cant really afford it. I have a CZ 75 rite now and i love it, great pistol IMO. i don't have much first hand experience with beretta's so i thought i would make a post here seeing what people's opinions on them were. What do you guys think? would you trade or sell your CZ for the 92fs?

I would not trade a CZ for a 92fs. However! That's a killer price for a 92fs, and if you can figure out a way to afford it, do it. Or if he's in San Diego, I'll take it.

The 6 magazines are a nice bonus, but I would say it comes down to which you shoot / prefer more. The Beretta is typically a more expensive gun, and the price he's selling it at is a steal, but if you shoot your CZ better, there's no reason to switch.

          Welcome to Calguns!

First, you MUST keep the CZ.

Second, unless that Beretta's beat to hell (crooked barrel, rusted parts, miscellaneous parts like hammers and safeties missing), you MUST buy that Beretta at that price!

Third, you MUST post a range report!

That's a great deal. But no way would I sell a CZ75 to get a 92FS. You could buy it just to flip it on here

Thank you all for your input. Any reason in particular why you wouldn't sell the CZ?

i dont know what one i shoot better because i have never shot the beretta. i know its a taboo question but what does the 92's go for in great condition with little holster wear? i know its just opinions, but your opinions are prob more accurate over my knowledge

Quick look at listings on www.gunbroker.com has used Beretta 92f's going for $400+, and that's with one or two mags. And that's nationwide. Here in CA, prices are usually slightly higher.

I'd keep the CZ cuz it's a fantastic gun for the money, performance often on a par with pistols that cost twice as much. If you sold it or traded it, there's a great chance you're just getting less for your money than if you had just kept the CZ in the first place.

IMO the CZ has great ergonomics better than the Beretta, I had a CZ but sold it and I regret it. I just do not like the feel of the grip when I hold a Beretta.

I wouldn't sell my 75 for a 92fs either, but I did buy a 92EII in ADDITION to my 75. I don't know what it is about the 75, but I shoot it much better than Berettas, but that's a personal preference.

I'm with everyone else on this thread. I own a couple models of both, keep the CZ. Get the Beretta if you can . . . but KEEP the CZ!!
