    Titanium Nitride Colt 1911?

You may think I'm crazy, but I have an extra Colt 70 series lying around and I would like to bling it out. Maybe it's my 25% Latin heritage coming out.

If anyone has completely Titanium Nitride coated their 1911 please post your photo(s) in this thread.

    Notice:

    - I'm not willing to Gold Plate the slide and frame so don't recommend it.
    - This is a spare 1911, so don't tell me I'm ruining it. I'm well aware.

I think it'll look awesome if done right. Who cares what everybody thinks. There will be always someone to **** on your parade no matter what you do it. So do it and be the first.

Not mine, but it looks bad ***.

I think it can look nice. Not mine:

On a related note, can anyone recommend a good place to do the coating? I'm about to do it on my Sig X-Six.

You'll need to polish all of the parts first before doing the nitride coating. Otherwise it's going to look matte/flat gold and very dull looking.

                You should gold plate it.

                Also you are ruining it.
