I just finished installing a bunch of modifications to my SP-01. One of the modifications was the SAO flat trigger. I'm wondering if I installed something wrong but I knew someone on calguns could point me in the right direction. Any help would be greatly appreciated!! Thanks in advance!

Help... CZ -75 SAO Trigger not resetting...

your pretravel or post travel is not set properly i'm going to guess.
EDIT: I just watched the video, didn't see it at first. i'm not sure. -
I had one of the CZ straight triggers installed in an SP-01 that was a little wider than the trigger slot in the frame, to a point where it wasn't allowing it to reset because of the tight fit. It could be that a little more polycoat in that area causing that. So what you have to do is with the trigger bar and trigger removed from the frame, file both sides of the trigger slot with a mini flat file in a diagonal motion, front to back while going up and down in each side of the slot. Do it one or two strokes at a time frequently checking if the trigger clears the slot so that it doesn't feel like it's dragging on the sides of the trigger any more. The other option is to run the sides of the trigger on something like a Arkansas stone but of course you will remove the anodizing and show the raw aluminum finish on the sides of the trigger.

I think you are right. When I was installing the trigger I noticed it was incredibly tight when putting it into the slot. I was hoping I could just "break it in" but it doesn't look like that plan is going to work. I have this file set below, would I be able to use it to file the trigger slot? If so which one should I use?I had one of the CZ straight triggers installed in an SP-01 that was a little wider than the trigger slot in the frame, to a point where it wasn't allowing it to reset because of the tight fit. Those files look perfect for the job. Where'd you get those btw? I'd probably start with the 400, then 600 to smooth it out. Have your frame secured in a vice with non marring jaws and just do it from the top and just keep it square in the motion I mentioned above.Last edited by CAGLS; 12-06-2014, 11:22 PM.Comment

I got them a while back from Amazon to file down a cell phone case.
Thanks for the advice CAGLS! I'll give it a shot tonight and see if that fixes the problem.Comment

Filing the sides of the trigger slot did the trick. I knew I could find answer on here. You guys are awesome!!

Which hammer did you go with? Is it not one of the best triggers you've ever tried? I can't bring myself to shoot my DA/SA CZs anymore.Comment
