    Mag release Glock Vs XD

I own three Glocks and four Springfield XDS. I bought my first Glock in the mid 80s. My question is preference as far as the mag release. I'm I big guy and have fairly long fingers, I find myself always struggling to push in the Glock mag release, the XDs are far more comfortable. My son just bought his first Glock 17, I had to say I watched him struggle a bit changing mags. I guess this may be the reason my main handgun is the XD subcompact. But I love them both like family.

Try using an extended magazine release on your Glocks.

I say get the factory extended magazine release for $3.50 (and sand down if needed): http://www.midwayusa.com/find?sortby...ensionid=17299

Not a fan of loosening the grip to flip/turn. Under stress, I think that is the worst thing you can do. Grip should be 100% strong hand (or close to it) at all times.

Another technique I prefer is to use the off hand to release.

What ever you are more comfortable with.
