CA CZ fans don't worry if you can't get your Shadow before SSE ends

If you see my project thread I actually contemplated on doing it by hand with Arkansas stones, then I woke up as I envisioned myself not getting anywhere with it ending up with a horrible surface finish and still having to send it out to get it refinished. So after reading on the CZ forum a member went the logical route and had CZC do it as they currently have the CNC programmed for their production of the CTS.
After getting close with an end mill, I used some finer files to get the fit really close.
I did increase the tolerances since I do plan on getting the slide and frame Cerakoted down the road. Right now it is a sweet shooter and I can transfer it to the SP01 or the SA frames in a few seconds.
I am pretty sure my Slide is a CTS slide and it was nowhere near close to fitting any CZ75 frame.Last edited by himurax13; 12-02-2014, 1:54 PM.Originally posted by BumslieHK - the best 600 dollar gun, 900 dollars can buy.Originally posted by SleighterGetting legal advice from a gun salesman, is like getting medical advice from a janitor at a hospital. My CZC modified TS slide normally lives on my SP-01 Shadow Target frame but put it on my polished stainless 75b frame for fun.
Well I never saw your thread until I discovered the problem, haha. Stuart assured me that it could be done in a few hours with a hand file ...

These look like different frames
It says "loosely based on the CZ 75 Tactical Sports", so maybe it's an SP-01 frame that the re-profiled the dust cover to look like a TS?Comment

The first one is a milled down Tac Sport frame with a Tac Sport Slide.
The second is a CZ 75 SA frame with a CTS Slide. I have this slide and I am 100% certain it was originally meant for the TS frame.Originally posted by BumslieHK - the best 600 dollar gun, 900 dollars can buy.Originally posted by SleighterGetting legal advice from a gun salesman, is like getting medical advice from a janitor at a hospital. From what I've seen from CAGLS, the CTS slide that's on the 75 SA frame is a milled down TS slide. It sounds like you had the unmodified slide from a TS frame rather than an already modified CTS slide. I would think that a CTS marked slide from a CTS built on a 75 SA should already fit, but I don't really know. I'm not trying to argue with you of course, I'm just trying to learn all I can so I don't have trouble when I order one.Comment

Yeah, that's what I'm trying to say...
