    .44 Bull Dog. ammo Questions

Hi I have a quick question on the .44 bull dog. I just got a charter arms bull dog .44 never shot and took it out. The ammo I bought was Winchester .44 mag and the bullets did not fit all the way down and seat properly? Is there a different ammo I should try?
    Thanks.

Did you have about 3.6mm left?

        Maybe some .44 Special: http://www.midwayusa.com/find?dimensionids=15573

        Edit: Am I being trolled/punked?

          You bought the wrong ammo.

          You need .44Special, not .44Magnum.

          There is a difference.

Be very thankful that the 44 Magnum did not fit. Otherwise you could have had a very bad day.

I shoot Remington .44 special cowboy loads in my Charter Arms Bulldog for target practice and Federal .44 special hollowpoints for serious business.

No .44 mag. Bad, bad, bad.

Thanks for the information. This is my first revolver. I grabbed some ammo at wallmart and the .44 mag was all they had.

Don't beat yourself up too much over it, it happens sometimes. I have a friend that has bought .357 Sig for his .357 magnum revolver on more than a few occasions lol.

.44Special is not as common as .44Magnum.

So, you won't typically find it at Wal-Mart or other chain stores (Dick's, Big 5, etc).

I know people who have bought 38 Super instead of 38 Special. They see the 38 S... and the rest of the letters get jumbled.

Clearly you must now buy a 44 Magnum revolver in which to use this for now useless ammo ....
