    Cz 1911 A1 sneak peek

The first CZ-branded pistol to be made in the USA, the CZ 1911 A1 closely resembles the original service pistol, but with a few tasteful changes. Notable differences are the taller, dovetailed sights front and rear, walnut grips and stainless steel barrel.

Though it looks like an old A1, the biggest differences are the tighter slide-to-frame and slide-to-barrel tolerances, which translate into greater accuracy without compromising reliability.

I'm confused on the motivation for cz to do this when they have the dan wesson line? It looks good, but most people don't really want an a1 style 1911 anymore as the sights are bad and a beaver tail helps get your grip up a lil higher and no bite.

I wonder if it is build by Dan Wesson for CZ.

I doubt they go from making no guns to all the sudden making a 1911 (or any gun). It could be their effort offer a more cost friendly 1911 since DWs aren't exactly cheap.

        Toyota to Lexus approach.

Brand a GI style 1911 under CZ and leave the high-end 1911s for Dan Wesson.

Automakers have been doing it for ages.

Well what's the price? I could get into this if it was 800 or below.

I would be interested if the frame and slide are forged.

                        My first thought too.

Let's be honest folks, this is not going to make the roster and with guns like the Springfield Milspec on the roster for about $600 there's no reason for us to buy this unless someone really wants that CZ roll mark.

AND/OR - "Dan Wesson" doesn't mean a damned thing in Europe, but CZ does.
