Good deal for GP 100 in 4" SS

I'm thinking of buying a new Ruger GP 100 from Turner's in Reseda with the 4" barrel in stainless steal. They have it on sale for $629.98. They claim that this is the on sale price. Is that a good deal to be had?

I've looked around and it seems lower than what other places are offering it at retail. What is reasonable for something like this used in good/excellent condition?

IIRC when I bought mine they were going for like $600 on sale and $650 new at some places.

I only remember because I got my barely used, heavily modded GP for $650. $50 above sale price but with at least $200 worth of extras and work done to it.
For Sale: AR500 Lvl III+ ASC Armor

I've been quoted around $650 for the 6" stainless from two different local stores lately (SF East Bay).

I'd say 500-550 for SS. Not that much off brand new.

That sounds like the going rate and is fair. I see it online for $571, but then with a $50+ transfer fee you'll be paying the same price anyway.

                I say buy!

Everything is getting expensive. Inflation is far higher than the liars in Washington are letting on. Plus, kalifornia is a very high cost state and extremely expensive to do business in. I'm not defending turners. Couldn't care less either way. Lots of gun shops. Very competitive market.

I love my 6" gp100. I really would like a 4" one too. Quibbling over $25-50 when you're grandchildren will be shooting that gun (except kalifornia of course. By then straws and chewed up paper will considered assault weapons) is silly. Buy it. Forget the price. Shoot it. You'll regret not buying one for years and years. You'll forget what you paid for it within minutes after shooting it.

They're not liberals, they're leftists. Please don't use the former for the latter. Liberals are Locke, Jefferson, Burke, Hayek. Leftists are progressives, Prussian state-socialists, fascists. Liberals stand against the state and unequivocally support liberty. Leftists support state tyranny.

Thats a very fair price. And in a few years, you will look back and be glad you bought when you did....for one reason or another.

Well the guy I got my GP off of did a crap load to it.

For starters they god rid of the infamous "Ruger billboard", re-polished the entire gun, trigger job, comp trigger spring, included the black factory sight, factory red sight, F/O sight with inserts. 3x speed loaders. Factory hogue grip, factory wood grips with panels, "semi custom" hand finished stag horn grip inserts.

I think there was a few other things but that's all I can remember off the top of my head.

There was a LOT of time, and effort put into this gun before I got it. I'm just glad they had a sense of taste.

Their regular price is $669, so your saving $40 off Turner's regular price. I think I've seen them at $599 recently, but I would say that is the lowest you'll find a stainless model. Nice used ones seem to get picked up pretty quick between $500 and $550.

I got an SP101-5771 4.2" while I could and I already don't remember what I paid for it.

$300 in ammo later ... it just doesn't matter.

And holsters and speedloaders ... and now the moonclip mod ... it's all good.
