    Fiber optic sights

Just picked up my new gen 3 Glock 34 and want to upgrade the sights.
This was a blue label gun and I didn't realize they come with standard sights and a 5.5 connector Anyway it was a great deal and wanted fiber optic sights anyway so I am looking for some input.

The two that I have been looking at are the Dawson and the truglo, which is better? Any other sights I should be looking at? This will mainly be a range/ plinking gun, don't want night sights. Thanks

Depends on how your eyes likes them, if you need 3 dots, 1 dot in the front with a solid rear, or if you needed those to double as tritiums. I have Warren Tacticals on my G17 and Dawson Precisions on my USP. I prefer the Warrens.

      Dawson's for me.
Their front sights use a 0.040" rod and counter boar installed = small dot and sharper than most other sights out there.

Heinie rears are a great combo, but Dawson also makes some great rear sights as well.

I tried Warren Tactical, nothing bad to say, I would recommend.

Just depends on what your eyes like.

MA5177, I have Dawson front sights on my 3 USPSA pistols (and also my carry pistol). I have been very happy with the quality and price of Dawson products.

I don't shoot fast enough to need .135/.105

I didn't like the way the chargers looked on Dawson's site but I think they look great in person. Just put them on haven't tried them yet. Saved about $15 because they are on sale right now.

Thanks for the info, but why black only in the rears opposed to the dots?

What ever you are more comfortable looking at, is my story.

But yes, I am on the front dot and all black rears as well. For bulls-eye precision, you are suppose to line up the top post and not the dots. The 3-dot combat makes it a little busier than needed, and may or may not affect precision. Some people may look at 3-dot combat sights faster and utilize them better, but not for my eyes.

Heck, if anyone can do it well with plain iron sights, rock on! My eyes are old, I need the red dot for quicker front post acquisition.
