So today i got to take out my cz for the first time sonce i got it 4 months ago. I have to say i can understand why people love them. 150 rounds and not one hiccup. It ran great and shoots better than i do. I have no pictures of my target. But i think now i need to take a class or two to help with marksmanship. Great pistol and cant wait to put more down range.

Good deal. Yes, it is one fine handgun.
Get some mags if you have the funds, especially that you plan to take a class. There is another thread for it - Greg Cote LLC sells 10-rd mags for $20.95 each. One Way to Post Pics ********** How to Submit an iTrader Rating That Counts ********** Brass for Sale

Nope, what you need to do is get the real cz (ones touched by the hands of god over at CZC).
Also a name change too.

Honestly, the non target model czs suck until you do some upgrading. You think it's great now, wait til you so some upgradesComment

Oh i plan on upgrading it soon lol. I plan on more mags soon. Thanks for the link, thats the best price i have seeb. No name change, glock was my first pistol and i will always have one. What would be the best firt upgrade for a stock saftey sp01Comment

Really like mine, too, right out of the box....but I'm a novice shooter. I don't think they "suck" at all, it just depends on your needs and experience. Not everyone needs a superfine trigger for range use or home defense. Actually, for me, the SA is fine for my target shooting....very accurate in this mode. The DA is useable, but I would eventually like to drop the pull to 7-8 lbs. So, it's accuracy and ease of shooting make it great to me...I'll worry about the trigger later.

Nice cant wait to break mine out of jail. The cz was the first pistol i ever admired because i was an anime nerd growing up and the main character of one of my favorite shows drove a Shelby cobra gt500 and carried a cz. That was back in 1992.

Honestly, you cannot even compare a stock trigger to a CGW or CZC, they are that good. You get spoiled. I won't even shoot a stock CZ, except the TS, without the trigger being done first. Especially if you want to shoot accurately and fast."Hence it happened that all the armed prophets conquered, all the unarmed perished." - Niccolo MachiavelliComment

Right on! I like to think CZ's out of the box are sufficient for combat and multipurpose use. For those uses probably all you really need to do is a simple smooth/polish job on the trigger internals and a 15lb hammer spring/mainspring then call it a day. For strictly range use your wallet will be your limitation.Comment

A simple change of the springs will make a big difference and is easy to do. Shoot it a while and then decide if you want to throw more money at it. That is what I did and then after a couple thousand rounds I decided to send it CZC for some magic. My SP01 is unbelievable now and has turned out to be one of my main go to guns for competition, my 1911's are feeling a little lonely.Comment
