    XD trigger job

I have narrowed down to SA custom shop, Springer, and Cayon Creek for the XD 45 trigger job and night sights installation.
I am leaning toward SA custom shop, because their fair price and warranty, but wondering what your opinions are. Your input is much appreciated. Thanks!

Don't know how the prices compare, but I hear great things about Bob's Custom Shop.

      i'd go with SA

I've had Jeremy at SA work on two of my XD's. Love the triggers "post trigger job". I've heard great things about Springer and Canyon Creek, but decided on paying the little extra to have it done by the factory where warranty and liability would be non-issues.

Post trigger job???.....it's not quite a 1911....but it ain't too far. I had him do a "competition" trigger job to both as this is the only way to get both the shorter overtravel and reset, however I specified a 4-1/4 to 4-1/2lb trigger. Aside from that, simple changing of the sights to Heinie Slant-Pro Straight Eights and refit the factory barrel was all I had done. If you cycle the slide on your stock pistol and push straight down on the chamber end of the barrel, you'll feel a little bit of movement up and down. No more with mine. Locks up completely solid now (almost like one solid piece).

I'd highly recommend you sending an XD to Jeremy...

I went with Rich at Cayon Creek for my trigger over 3 years ago. Never have had any problems.
I have felt others trigger jobs, Springer and the factory, they don't come close to my XD done by Cayon Creek, and I have checked out more than one. My reset is shorter and my trigger is lighter and smoother. I use my XD 9Tactical for IDPA and USPSA.
If you can't shoot good, at least look good shooting

            +1

I have two XD9 Tacticals that have been worked on by Canyon Creek. Trigger jobs are spectacular.

I've heard very good things, though, about both Bob Hostetter's and Scott Springer's trigger jobs.

I can say that their drop-in kits are fantastic as drop-in kits go. I have Hostetter's in my XD45 Tactical and put Springer's in my brother's XD9 Service. They smooth and lighten the pull, but you need to add their trigger bars if you want to remove take-up and reset distances.

I got this back from Springer Precision with a trigger job and bar replacement, Mag extention button .1", trijicon sights, and complete pistol Ion Bond coating, I had the slide and barrel Mag-Na-Port job done also and my mag springs are from ADP. I have around $1200. invested in this pistol with the cost of the pistol and not one problem with it. Now who are you going to listen to a person who has invested this much into a pistol that he runs 100's of rounds through or, well you get my meaning. Has for warrenty fully covered by Springer but He doesn't have to drill and add more parts that could cause problems, beleave me it's a great trigger and the glock guys say so at the range when they shoot my pistol it has a crisp break and no creep, awsome for a XD-45 with out the extra cost or wait time you will experiance with RA.

                Thanks all for the feedbacks.
My primary purpose of the trigger job is target shooting and I am sure the SA custom shop's carry package with night sights would do just fine.

Hey Rick, I was so close to become your XD's new owner In any case, I will see how she shoots after the trigger job and then maybe do the magna-port just like you did. I do appreciate that you offering me to try your XD

Note that magna-porting or compensating the barrel makes the gun illegal for use in IDPA and USPSA/IPSC Production Division.
