I've read at very high level on AR pistols before (more skim than anything). Re-reading some threads, I'm interested in getting one before the year end. So I understand it'll have to be DROSed as a complete pistol. I'm thinking of just buying complete anyway.
Questions:
* Since I'll have a registered AR pistol, it's OK for me to purchase another pistol upper like a 9mm or another upper like a 7", right? (Once the AR pistol is in my possession.) There shouldn't be any constructive possession issue since I own an AR pistol already if I understand right. Looks like I'm OK to purchase another AR pistol upper once I have the AR Pistol.
* If I buy complete, are there still parts I have to swap out and give back to the vendor? I wonder if they come with mag bobsleds already today and a BB?
* It seems I can install a Sig brace. Can I adjust how close or far to the front that'll be mounted? It seems like this is one way to kinda have a sbr since there is no BATF ruling how to "use" the sig brace. meaning you don't have to insert your hand in there to fire it, i.e. you can shoulder it with the brace. I'm asking if it needs to completely cover the buffer tube or not. I'm not just sure if there is a way to tighten how the sig brace clamps to the buffer tube.
Looks like I'm good to go to using my AR-15 10/20 or 10/30 mags too.
