    Handgun Roster Question

I'm looking to purchase a S & W 22 magnum revolver. The roster list the SKU code with an A at the end. For example: 150717A . When I searched the S & W site it only list the number without the letter A.
The Roster does state that " a SKU listed with an A, shall be engraved under the top strap with the letter A".
    Any experience with this?

Smith and Wesson's online catalog is notoriously out of date and since this "A" nonsense only effects us here in California I don't see a huge push at S&W to correct the issue.

Nevertheless, if the Handgun Roster lists the "A" version then your LGS has to sell you one with the "A" stamp. Any current non-marked stock they have is technically not on the roster any longer.

I'm no expert but I think Marquand has it. In order to be roster listed, it's needs the A. If not, you need to SAE it.

Yes, you can still "Single Action Exception" revolvers next year.

This would explain why they don't list this model, that the online catalogue is out of date.
I knew it had to match the SKU exactly.
I suppose I'll have to visit the local S & W dealer for a more current list.
