I've been trying to get a full sized .40 baby eagle for the last 2 months. So, I gave up on my local gun store finding me one. I went online and found one on Able's Ammo. I purchased the pistol and went to the gun store do get it transfered. The guy behind the counter told me that it is not California legal because the model number does not match the model number on the Roster of Handguns issued by CA DOJ. The model numer of the pistol from Able's Ammo is BE9400. The roster shows MR9400 (I'm assuming that MR stands for Magnum Research and BE stands for Baby Eagle). So, I check Magnum Research's web site and checked the specs for the baby eagle. Each model shows the prefix MR.
Anyways, I guess I was wondering if anyone has experienced this problem before with either the baby eagle or any other pistol. If there is another thread with this problem address, please refer me to it and this one can be deleted.
