    HK JS trademark?

I have noticed that some HK's come from the factory with HK JS stamped on the slide. I have been informed that it is a trademark. I searched this forum and did not find any infomation on it.

    Is this correct?
Why if so why is it on some HK's and not others?
Does this stamp (JS) make these Hk more or less desirable?

Any information you guys know of would be appriciated.

HKJS is HK's sporting or civilian division.

I have a USP with it that i bought through regular channels and a USP compact that does not have the mark that was purchased as a LEO/Mil package.

THough they may be phasing out the the JS as they no longer have a separate website and it was not popular with collectors as they want it to look like what is delivered to the Mil/LE.

To me it dosent matter as its the same gun with or without the extra JS.
