No Self Control. Bought a 1911.

So today I figure, heck I'll finally go check out some of these fancy 1911 style pistols. So I take a cruise out to Martin Retting(never been before), go in and check it out.

So I'm standing in front of the "nicer" stuff and thinking,"Hmmm Wilson or Nighthawk or maybe a TRP". Guy comes up ask if there is anything I would like to see, I start asking to see this and that and maybe some of those, well after a few I decide I'm digging a particular gun.

I ask what kind of deposit I have to leave as I'm already 2 months ahead on Droses(sp?), he tells me at least 25%, now I'm thinking 25% on one of these is a Sig or HK, but like the title says I have no self control. I told em "Let's do it!"

So I think I'm going to bump back my other 2 guns and Dros this one next month.

By the way I chose a Nighthawk Custom Predator II Bobtail w/Grey Gator grips.

They have a Wilson CQB over there that's been calling my name. I'm right there with you on the no control thing, but that gun is to rich, even for my weakness.

I actually have the C&R paperwork, I just haven't filled it out. As for the COE, I hear story after story of dealers that just don't accept it and how when they are told to call the DoJ, the people there will even tell them not to accept it.

It's all 2nd hand info, but I wouldn't doubt if the DoJ isn't up front about the COE to dealers either.

I mean it isn't that much for the COE, so no harm in having it.

These pistols are real nice, untill you shoot one you have no idea how a 1911 can shoot, yep just like soft butter in the hand. Nighthawks are real nice pistols.
