"Grip zone" printed on the grip will kill sales of this gun. Real shame too.
Cause I own 3 XD's, an XDm, and an XDs....was looking forward to the new release.

i bet you guys are the ones that put grip tape on your XDs and paint the SA logo and text with red and white paint too huh?

be honest.....


just stipple it to only read..."RIP" or "RIP ONE" if the grip zone bothers you. otherwise, the other features IMO are worth it.

XD-S, M&P, Gen4, Grip Zone.. doesnt bother me. I rather go performance then some fancy name. Seems like people like to buy guns that sounds aggressive vs performance.

I have a Talon grip on mine. I use it for IDPA

Its the same size as the XD9/40sc which is a double stack. XDs is a single stack.

It has the exact same internals as the XDsc

unfortunately, this will be my last DROS and wont be DROSing it until mid december

like i mentioned, i bought it on impulse as it just came out this week to retailers. hell, i havent even touched it.

i cant imagine it feeling that much different from a XD/XDm/XDs or a combination of these. If it does, then I have nothing to worry about and will like it.

This is another good idea that most if not all people will be doing. They should make separate grip tape sections to only cover some lettering so you can get it to say

"RIP" or "RIP ONE"

how is the grip, i heard the XDm Subcompact is a fatty compared to the XDs, but i would expect that, is it similar to the subcompact as the regular XD subcompact?
