    CZ 75 SP01?

Looking at the sp01. Feels amazing. Is it as good as a Sig 226 ?

The CZ design is an excellent handgun platform across the board. The CZ SP01 is an excellent representation of the CZ platform.

Yes, it's a very, very good handgun.

Is it as good as a Sig Sauer 226? It's certainly not finished as nicely as the Sig. But it's a reliable handgun that shoots well. For most folks it's as good. For others it isn't. But when you can even get close to SIG quality for 2/3rd the price, it's an excellent value.

Have owned both and love both, but sold the CZ when I went another direction for competition. Now I purchased a P09. Pretty impressive so far.

Every sig i've owned i've sold. I think the CZ is better.
Competition is where you find out you're slow, can't see well, are not accurate, have poor gun handling, can't visualize, have equipment that doesn't work and either accept it OR DO SOMETHING ABOUT IT.

Same boat as you. I want one. Don't buy out the stock before I can!

I did the same and feel the same way.

I prefer my cz to my sig.

For me, and a sample size of one each, the Sig has a much better trigger, is balanced a little better, and I am much more accurate with it. But I like both.

I started out with Sigs, switched to CZ's. Like my SP-01 more than my MK25

Out of all the handguns I have owned and shot, I like the SP-01 more than any. Great value, reliable, easy to take down, supports hi-cap mags (too bad we in CA), accurate, nice night sights, and I can go on and on about it...

                          I'd trade my German 226 for a SP-01 Tactical in a heartbeat.

I've handled a few sigs and wasn't impressed to actually buy any. CZ's simply just feels better ergonomically so I'll stick with CZ's

What most people have said are true and is dependent on your purpose. If it's just target shooting, it's definitely a track driver where it's all steel that helps with recoil. Trigger is terrible in DA and the SA is gritty but manageable and will smooth out a bit after time. Low bore axis have advantages but CZ has a disadvantage in my eyes...the slide is difficult to grab and rack especially if you use the palm over slide for self defense purposes. I would not choose this pistol as my self defense pistol solely for this reason in case a jam occurs. As a paper target shooter, it's one of my favorites and would choose my CZ over Sig. If self defense, I'd choose my Sig over CZ.
