    Help me decide.

So as the end of SSE is on the horizon, and Christmas is around the corner, I have an itch to buy another hand gun. There are several I would like, but two stand out.

    Browning High Power.

    Colt New Agent.

The High Power, always wanted one, 9mm is fairly cheap, it fits my hand well. Ill use this just for target shooting.

New Agent. Its something I won't be able to get after Jan. Its a 45, I carry a 45 for CCW now. It will be part of my CCW line up, eventually.

The H.P. is going to cost me about $300 less.

    So what say ye.

I believe the Hi Power is on Roster and the Colt is not.

If you're dead set on just those two choices then the obvious pick would be the Colt.

Colt new agent or get an XDs 45 now.

The HP is easy to find used and I'd suggest used belguim HP instead of the one roll marked "Made in Belgium - Assembled in Portugal". Want to make a gun look ugly...do that to it!

Everybody should have at least one Hi Power in their collection!

There are 3 BHP variants currently on the roster. If both is an option, get the colt no and tue browning next year.

No, I don't have all the cool toys. No plastic for me. Nothing wrong with plastic, it just doesn't float my boat. One reason I want a HP or New Agent, all steel.

I love my BHP. From the 80s, run my 13 round preban mags. She has a Barstow barrel done by Irv himself...

Never sell it. I admit I don't shoot her much, because my safe is filled with plastic wonder nines.....haha.

On the other hand, the BHP isn't really a carry permit option. In today's world that Colt is a nice size for concealed carry.

Is the Colt reliable? Some of these short slide 1911 platforms have feeding issues. I really would want something that ran good. I have a stainless Colt Officers Model, series 80 that I have to run hardball because she's picky about certain hollow points.....

                            Good luck on our choice...

                            Be well
