Glock 34 Gen 3 in JAIL!

Excited to get this to the range, have wanted one for a while.

Got a smoking deal on this from pro force or I would of done a Gen 4, they didnt have any 10 round mags so they discounted it and sold with no mags.

I have some old standard caps anyway so I was happy they were out of stock on 10"s. Anyway after tax and DROS $484 OTD, cant beat the deals on glocks there.

So I plan to put a light on it, was planning on a TLR-1 HL. I keep seeing the popularity of the x 300 surefire and was wondering what is the difference of these lights to justify the $ ?

I plan to run this gun fairly stock with a light, may upgrade the sights but we will see. I cant see putting tons of $ in aftermarket parts when these guns run fine stock. Any must haves?

Nice deal. I immediately change out the sights on all Glocks. Plastic crap. Some models trigger work

It's about 560 otd with mags. I've had a few sure fires but always end up with the streamlight. Both are quality but $ vs $$$....

Ha I hear ya, what makes the sure fires worth the extra dough? Am I missing something ?

They feel / look slightly more solid but for me doesn't cover the $ gap to the streamlight. Right now I think I'm at 6? Streamlights vs 2 rifle surefires.

For the streamlights, the HL is a bit intense for in home use and cuts the battery life in half. If you have a huge house or it might be used outside or you want the option of also giving sunburns, the HL is the way to go

Check out glockmade.com triggers. Pretty cheap and lots of people seem to like them.

On the Gen 3 frame, I'd either out skateboard tape over the slick surface, or stipple it (if doing that, look I to doing other things like removing the finger grooves and/or reducing the backstrap area a bit). Sure the grip tape would be much cheaper and reversible, but basic & clean stippling jobs don't cost that much these days.

That, and some sights and you'll be all set

Bought my g34 from them as well. I upgraded to the 10-8 performace cights with the .115 fiber optic in from and .146 notch in the rear. I own a TLR1 HL, Inforce APL, x300 and x300 ultra. I think it really just comes down to how you use your light. I don't like using my trigger finger to actuate the light so the APL will soon be sold. And using my support thumb I can push forward on the Surefires to activate the momentary on without changing my grip enough for me to feel that I am compromising my grip. Light output wise the HL throws a brighter whiter light similar in color as my old x300. The X300 ultra is bright as well but has a darker tint to the light...almost like an incandesent. Really its up to you. Also tried the DG switch but didn't like it as I felt that I couldn't get as tight of a grip as I would like without accidentally activating the light. Hope this helps...beware thought 10-8 sights are addictive. I have about 6 sets now for all my different pistols.
