Springfield trp trigger and warranty ?

So I just got my trp last Saturday and took it to the range and shot 100rnds all was good. But I noticed the trigger pull was quite heavy not what people say
    4 1/2 - 5lb.

Fast forward to tonight I get my gauge and the trigger was breaking at 6lbs, here is my question with more rounds down pipe will it drop if not would springfield tune it up Since even there website says 4 1/2 - 5lbs.

But I thought I seen a thread before since it's not on Cali roster then they won't ship it back to Cali?

Mine always breaks between 4.5 and 5 lbs. I'd definitely give them a call and have them fix that for you.

I have a lot of experience with Springfield's warranty program and I must say they're the best in the business.

Tell them the trigger pull just does not feel right and you want them to have a look at it under warranty. They will send you a RMA # / shipping label without any questions asked. When it arrives at Springfield, if they determine the trigger is within spec, then have it sent to the Custom Shop for a 3.5 - 4 LBS action job. I've done it to all my Springfield 1911s. They only charge $100 plus $15 ship fee from the Custom Shop.

You then have the best trigger money can buy for $100. Easy as that!

So there won't be no issue if gun is off roster I wish I remembered thread where I think read they wouldn't ship gun back if non roster.

Do you have the half rail TRP? If not, its on the roster.

Either way, Springfield will ship off roster guns back to you without issue. This was heavily tested with the XDs recall.

I don't know how light mine is, but it's crisp!

Call springfield and ask directly, tell them you're in ca right away but there is no legal problem, it's your gun.

Remember to dial 1 before 911.

Forget about stopping power. If you can't hit it, you can't stop it.

                    There. Are. Four. Lights!

                        Glad you like it.

Aside from Dan Wesson I believe Springfield makes the best production 1911.

This is a long shot but worth trying if you have not done so yet.
Take the grip panels offf so that you can see the trigger bow and the chanel they are in. Pressure wash the trigger bow and chanels on both sides with CLP (Rem oil, Ballistol, etc) a couple of times and cock and pull the trigger a few times in between. Try the guage again and see if it made a difference. Thare may be dried up old lube (or no lube) around the trigger bow making it heavier to pull.

My SA Loaded went from about 5 down to a consistent 4.00-4.125 after about 1,000 rounds. Detail strip, clean the bits and pieces and put a light coat of CLP and see if that helps. If not, SA will take care of you if it's truly out of spec.

                            Happy shooting and be safe.
