    Sig P320 and SSE2

Since the P320 is so modular, can't Sig or an FFL put the serialized firearm inside a frame that complies with the new laws? Then after DROS, we can buy whatever new frame we want.

I'm not familiar with all the ins-n-outs of SSE law, but does this sound feasible?

    First rule about SSE2.

Only if Sig sells the serialized part separately to CA. Otherwise, if the serialized part was ever a "semi-auto gun", then it's illegal to change it to SSE in CA. If you want to buy P320, buy it now or pray for Pena.

Few years ago a clever dealer out of WA took full P250 pistols and sold the parts individually to maximize profit. Same could be done for the P320. Someone will end up doing the same eventually once there are enough pistols in the market. So don't expect to see it happening before SSE is no longer an option in CA.

FS: Atlas Bipod, Custom G23 RMR slide, ETS mags, Jagerwerks, Recover G26/27, CZ Scorpion bits, etc.

The easiest solution, in my view, is to assembly a true SSE gun out of state, and then import it to CA as such. You can't simply sell a serialized part to CA without classifying it. Obviously, a bare P320 chassis is neither rifle nor SSE gun.

That's what I'm imagining is possible. Something akin to the Japanese pachinko system where steel balls are exchanged for cash so that they don't violate gambling laws. Only in this case, a SSE2 chassis holds the serialized firearm through DROS. After DROS ends, the buyer leaves the SSE2 chassis with the FFL so that the next buyer can use it.

Don't understand why people keep saying this. The legislative branch is done with bills for 2014. Even if you submit a written documentation on exactly how you are doing it, de Leon he would not be able to do anything till next session. Whether we talk about it now or 2015, he will not do anything to fill the gaps until next year.

Sig could corner the CA new-pistol market if they just made a SKU with the P320 fire control group (Zero Shot Exemption?). Imagine all the aftermarket barrel, slide, frame, grip opportunities!

As if Kamala Harris and the CA DOJ would go for that!

P320CA: FCU, full-size slide, full-size CA frame (no mag release slot, solid at bottom of FCU and bottom of grip), and an extra long barrel.

You know it has to be a break top or bolt action, right?

There will not be an SSE2. What do you think their going to do? Maybe that bolt action glock17 will make the cut on SSE2.

                          I did not. That's ridiculous.

Yep. I'm baffled by the number of people that think that they need to keep SSE2 a secret when it's really not all that feasable because of...

This pretty much requires an upper of either break action or bolt action to be manufactured for the specific frame. Good luck getting someone to invest in the R&D for that.

Most likely this. Maybe AR pistols and 1911's that are built from the blueprints of the old Pachmayr Dominator design.
