    beretta 1935

    good evening,

can anyone please point me to a PDF file for a manual or the disassembly instructions for a Beretta 1934/35 ? Or can you explain how, it seems similar to the Browning HP set up, but I could be wrong.

Drachenboot, you just posted this question 20 minutes ago in another post. It's midnight - not that many folks are online at this hour. Please give people some time to read and answer your post before duplicating it.

Midway USA has a video on the Beretta 1935. It is also in You Tube.

                beretta 1935

Until today I have not been able to locate

                a manual in PDF form
any information on the 1935 model made post war in the 1950 s
also the gun I bought has the name Beretta as letters at the top of the grips instead of the typical Beretta logo in a circle at the bottom of the grip.
Does anybody have more information or can direct me towards more sources.
from where i am I can not access movie clips on the net, only text/ picture files.
any help or suggestions are greatly welcomed.

Ok, remove magazine. flip safety on. pull slide back until safety engages and holds slide open. push muzzle end of barrel until it comes out. with some it may require tapping the muzzle with a non marring hammer to loosen it. after barrel is removed, hold slide and release safety. slide will come forward off of the frame. spring, guide rod and safety can now be removed. assemble in reverse order.

this is almost identical to the Browning HP.break down.

                              after the pick up

People talk a lot when the day is long.( German saying) Finally the 10 day torture was over. Seller seemed reasonably open and honest. The gun came advertised as good mechanical or functional condition with 150 rounds of ammo.
at the meeting I noticed that 1 box of ammo was missing 10 rounds.Big deal, so what. I was surprised though that he did not know how to field strip the gun or that is what he said at least. well, we did our paper work, I paid grabbed the ammo and went home. next surprise was that another box was missing 25 more rounds. I expressed my disappointment in a pm, "should have said something, you got a good deal" was the reply.
10 long days of waiting, I pick up the gun, load it up at home, surprise....
The first cartridge gets jammed on the way into the barrel, the second one loads, fires but then upon loading the 3rd round, the slide does not close. through a 1/4" gap I see the partially loaded round. Mechanically working my ..s. At this point I thought I had been had.
thanks to all your help I can at this point field strip the gun and have a closer look. What I found now was:

feed into the barrel was rough and marred,
lower part of the gun was alloy instead of high carbon,
tracks of slide rough and marred, hard to move back and forth.

Oh well, the guy seemed nice enough, but I guess that is were you separate the boys from the Men.(people talk a lot when the day is long) I do a lot of business by verbal agreements and trust in the word of other men. that must be an outdated attitude though. my experience on this forum has been mixed 7o:30. 70% of men make agreements, do what they say they will do and the presentation of their guns or other merchandise are true and factual. The other 30% weasel around, misrepresent or dick around some other way.

Anyway, having the right equipment and some fine mechanical background from a different field,I set to work on this fine little gun. 800grit cratex wheel on a fordom to refinish the slide into the barrel, then Fabuluster compound to hone and polish. Cratex also on the slide parts to take the nicks out and carefully refinishing that as well. A little bit of graphite and .....smooth action and no more hang ups. nice little gun, accurate out to 15 yards just shooting leisurely 2" groups. Thank you seller and thank you forum members for directing me to the break down instructions. Cheers, Bodo
