    Is This Sig Roster-Legal?

The current Roster dated 11 Nov 2014 shows this exact terminology: P229R Enhanced Elite (Black) 229R-9-ESE / Stainless Steel; Alloy

Now, what I want to buy is the all-stainless version of the exact same pistol (both being 9mm). I don't know for sure what Sig's bewildering model number is for the all-stainless version. But they're the same pistol except, I think, the above model may have an alloy frame....not sure about that.

So, do you think I can legally purchase the all stainless version without going through all the single shot exemption nonsense?

The stainless version is not on the roster, but, you can legally purchase one through a private party transfer.

Not quite...it is not on the Roster of Handguns Determined Not to Be Unsafe, which means, legally speaking, that it is an Unsafe Handgun.

Why is this so hard to understand?

Guess I'll have to go that route. Is that still legal in Taxifornia after 1 Jan 2015?

PPT is exempt from the roster.

Here are the CA compliant Sigs. http://www.sigsauer.com/CatalogProdu...t-pistols.aspx

I would SSE it while you have a chance, it may be hard to find what you are looking for from a private party, especially for a reasonable price.

And SSE is not nonsense... that becomes evident when you realize you either CAN get the pistol you want by doing it, or you CANT by discounting it as an option.
