    A threaded barrel on a pistol is an assault weapon feature, unless you run a mag lock/bullet button on it. So the answer is no, unless the pistol also has a mag lock.

    Edit - or as Dattebayo said below, install a thread protector or other muzzle device that is not a flash hider, permanently. That typically means it should be pinned, welded, or brazed on with high temp (1100 degree) silver solder.

      You can permanently install either a break or a thread protector on the firearm and have it still be compliant.

        thanks you guys, but.....would one be able to remove the barrel out of the slide by doing that? lol

          right, unless your thread protector was the same diameter as the barrel OD, then you would never be able to remove the barrel from the slide unless the protector was removed.

            You could swap out the threaded barrel for a non-threaded one. A P226 barrel shouldn't be too difficult to obtain.
