Got to finally hold my AR pistol today

Well my FFL finally got my 10.5" pistol w/ sig brace I ordered in.

    These things are freakin awesome!!!!

I never want to shoot a rifle AR again!!

    I almost have 0 interest in my 16" AR's.

The pistols feel so balanced, so useful, so compact, so comfortable and mostly so perfect for a scout/patrol type rifle!

Yes. Yes it will be. And it's been a looong while since I've been anxious for a 10 day.

From your comments on it being a "scout type rifle", it sounds like you plan on shouldering it quite a bit. I'd be careful in freely treating it like a literal SBR and not a pistol at the range, might raise the wrong eyebrows. Usually "scout rifle" isn't the word that comes to people's minds when talking about an ar pistol. It's typically words like "fun range toy". Otherwise, congrats on the purchase!

I thought the ATF said shouldering the Sig Brace is fine?
Also, can that Sig Brace be extended out any further since the LOP is so short?

OTD was just why of $850 after tax and FFL fees.

As far as the brace. Yea I plan to shoot it in any "legal" way I please. I will be bringing/keeping paper work regarding the sig brace, standard cap, and non BB features with it at all times as well. I know it will be raising eye brows but while they question I'll hand them the stack of papers I have with the PC's on my configuration and let them read all my supporting documentation they want while I continue shooting.

Also I will not be taking the "come and take it" mentality trying to stir trouble. Just keep to my own and any inquiring minds that ask about it, I will explain the legalities and again if they want show them the supporting letters stating what I'm using is as far as right now 100% complaint of law.

They stated "there is not wrong way to use the brace". But many here claim federal ATF does not stand for CA ATF/Law. So under CA law they could still find a way to claim this is not legal. BUT, there have been no cases, and people have mailed several agencies to get a solid final word on these but no one can get a statement saying yay or nay. So as of now they are grey area until there is a trial. But we do have the ATF approval letter to hopefully defend us by using it as they said was legal.

So as of right now, tho many will agree, and those will disagree. Right now it's a "use at your own risk" type of deal. Because honestly we don't know until we get a final ruling of either a court case, or an agency to finally put their name on a written statement classifying these in the state of CA.

Well that's what I pulled from all the debates and discussions refuse don't the brace anyways.
