I have been meticulously selecting each handgun purchase, 1 in 30 and so on. So I bought the Sig p938 extreme and I love it. I recommended the off roster shield in 9mm to my wife for concealed carry, so she bought it. She went for a shooting lesson and I said (like an idiot), take the sig too. I was thinking it would give her a little more exposure to different design styles. Anyway, after her lesson she said, I want your sig, i will trade with you. She is basically telling me to take her shield and let her have my sig.
My plans are to buy the sig P229 in a couple of weeks. oh boy.

My wife likes my P938 as well, but I recommended that she not choose a cocked and locked gun for carry. If your wife is going to carry a cocked and locked gun, make sure she trains with it enough so she has enough muscle memory to use it if needed.

I woudn't say inferior, but certainly she should carry what she is most comfortable and proficient with.

I think that's cool, be glad she's a shooter, my gf doesn't care for my guns and feels that I have too many, not that it makes a difference to me, its just that when I go shooting she doesn't want to tag along.

Really? Many of our wives/significant others do not and will not care to train as much as we do. If something is more comfortable for the wife and she shoots it better naturally, you're damn ****ing right I'm going to let her use that one for carry/defense.
