Sse shield NTS 9mm gets picked up monday. Sse and dros done with Fred at 21guns here in elk grove for a ridiculous savings over river city.

I Shot one belonging to a guy at the range booth next to me a few months back and loved it . I don't think a striker fired hand gun needs a safety so opted out of that and F that chamber flag .

Gonna install some TFO sights, talon rubbers, and a pierce pinky grip. Load her up with some gold dot or talon and be done .

Glad to read yours is doing so well op.

For the record, I own a 9mm Shield friend has the .40. I thought the difference in recoil was minor, not enough to really make a difference for me. I shot them both, failure drills at 7 and 10 also on the move. But yeah, never any head shots at 25.
It's just some folks get over-excited, which leads to some level of exaggeration.

Fine choice and thanks! Definitely add rubber grip over the stock stippling, it'll improve the feel. Buy the $10 large sheet of Talon Grip and cut to size!

The stock new recoil spring will make racking the Shield's slide difficult in the beginning, I left mine with the slide locked back for a few days, helped a bit. Shooting it helps the most. Lube the Slide Lock/ Release tab that locks the slide back, it'll improve with use. Also lube or watch the magazine release button area, it may rust without proper care. Hope to hear a positive range report soon!

I picked up a shield in 9mm a few months ago as well, just took it out for the 3rd time yesterday. I'm at about 400 rounds and you are correct the slide is much easier to rack back now than it was when I took it out of the box.

Trigger is pretty good, I do like the audible reset and you can feel it in the trigger finger as well. It puts pretty good groups down for such a small pistol.

The only mod I will more than likely do it night sights.

Other than that, I'm a happy owner of one haha

I've got about 1,500 rds. No failures of any kind. Great little pistol especially for it's intended purpose: ccw.

Take a look at the apex options for them to improve trigger.
