Field Time Sports help. (Gun on layaway)

Soooo some of you might have seen my other thread that, my cousin and I went into Field Time last Monday. He ended up buying their Glock 22 they had and I wanted the 19 next to it. Time was about 8pm just around closing time.

Well he put it on layaway and told then I'll be around by Friday so I can start the 10 day. They said ok were closing soon so make sure your here bla bla I didn't listen it was his deal not mine. We even made a joke if he doesn't make it by Nov 5th or what ever say was their last she (the owner) gets a free $250 and his gun.

Anyways, he put down $250 for it and went in on Friday, they closed an hour early apparently and he has been trying to get ahold of them via their number on the window to pick up firearms for people already doing the 10 day.

Well he's trying to make final payment and start his 10 day. He's getting uneasy about losing his $250 and talking to his uncle (atterny) about legal action if they don't get back to him.

Does anyone know anyone from Field Time or the status of their business? And how my cousin can pay and get his Glock? Or his money back? He would prefer to get his Glock he paid for.

So any info is appreciated. I'm trying to keep him patient and give then time due to their status but I can see his side and see how it looks on his end. So I'm trying to get any info to help both of them out and keep this from going 0-100 for a misunderstanding.

I stopped by there today on the way to the range down the street and the doors were closed. Good luck to your cousin in getting his money back. If he used a credit card, I'm sure he'll be covered.

Field time is closing the doors. The owner died several months ago and I think the last day they are open is the 15th of November.

I am surprised they took layaway money this late in the game. I know the will not do PPTs anymore.

Yea they told him Friday was he last day he could finish off the rest of the payment which was the only day he could make it back in.

He went after work and they closed 1 hour earlier than posted signage. He's been trying to get ahold of he's ever since.

He did use card. I might have him do a charge back. But I don't want to screw them before they have a chance to talk. Again I feel it's just a misunderstanding and can hopefully be resolved easily and calmly.

I was in there last week and the sign stated Nov. 15 is the last day to begin a DROS. Closing date to be determined. Why would your friend even consider putting any money down knowing there situation? I guess 20% of of their limited number of firearms was tempting for him.

If your friend feels like THAT, then he has no basis to complain if he gets screwed...which I would bet is at a 98% chance. Personally, I'd call the CC and take it off. NOW.

HE is freaking out thinking (not really but kinda) they closed and ran. I just want to give them a fair chance to make it right. I'm sure they have A LOT going on right now with the store closing and everything else. If he can't get ahold of them this week I'll tell him he should probably file a chargeback.

I didn't see anything else on sale but the 20% off firearms.

Aside from everything high end and expensive there wasn't anything on the shelf or show cases. Ammo was zilch. Reloading stuff was almost untouched but normal to slightly over priced so no one wanted any of it.

Stopped being a FFL or just shutting down the whole thing?

The whole thing is gone. Lights were out and the store looked empty. All that was there were two stools in front of the doors with the cushions falling off. I was told the last day was going to be 11/30.
