Haggling with online stores typically does not work. You could try asking them to price match. Chances are they will just ignore the email.

Usually if I buy multiple guns from the same seller, I'll ask for something reasonable like free shipping. Most of the time they will do it, but it's really hit or miss.

I tried asking for free shipping from my last seller and they refused, even though I was buying two handguns worth over $6000. I knew he'd been trying to sell those guns for several months with no takers, yet he would rather lose the sale than budge on $30 worth of shipping. I treat that as a warning sign that he may not have the best attitude towards customer service.

Some of the supporting vendors here will give Calguns discounts, otherwise the only place I know you can "make offers" is Bud's (on some of their stock), but they aren't the most CA friendly out there.

I'd be cautious because if some random online dealer agrees, you might get some secondary inventory gun... like with minor defects etc...
          puts you on the spot.

otherwise I do not have personal experience with online vendors.
I like to inspect the firearm I buy, before dros-ing.

Depending om discount wanted is a 50 to 100 bucks really a big deal? I shoot more than my pistols cost in ammo every year

i've bought a few guns from Gunbroker FFL sellers on extended layaway. i negotiated the down payments needed to start the layaways at amounts less than what sellers requested, and negotiated the monthly payments to be less than sellers initially required. i did not negotiate the actual price of the guns.

I've done it with Budsgunshop.com on occasion. Knocked off just a few dollars though.

I've gone in and price matched at a place or two and I also had Turner's revert prices back to previously ended sale prices. You should always ask. The worse that happens is they say no.
