    Need clarification buying pistol

Here's my (hopeful) scenario that I need clarification.

I purchased a new pistol Oct 24 that will clear DROS on Nov 3. As I understand (reading http://wiki.calgunsfoundation.org/Bu..._in_California), I can purchase a used pistol via private party and begin another DROS on Nov 3 (or 4) and should I wish, then buy another new pistol on December 3 (or 4).

Is this correct? Or (as I have been told but possibly misunderstood), a new law has been implemented that no matter new or used, it has to be 30 days from starting one DROS to the next DROS.

    Thanks for your input.

you can only dros a new pistol every 30 days. so Nov 23rd is your next dros date. don't forget what time you processed your dros at too, its to the very second!

So, you can actually buy a new gun 30 days + 1 minute after the Oct.24th date that you bought the last new one. You can buy PPT at any point.

The top of that wiki page says
Unless you are exempt, or purchasing a handgun via Private Party Transfer, you may purchase only one handgun in 30 days.
'Used' and 'new' are not relevant - it is from whom you buy.

There is no such new law as you wonder may exist. Yet.

Frozen in 2015, it is falling out of date and I can no longer edit the content. But much of it is still good!

You are in So Cal - so this might impact you...

Doesn't the City of Los Angeles have some wacko law on the books which essentially treats handgun PPTs the same as new gun sales - namely only one every 30 days regardless of new or used???

Of course you should be able to circumvent this if you PPT outside of the City - or does the law apply to the buyer's residence address?
