    Help ordering handguns

This is for all the FFL's out there. I am making a list to place an order with my supplier. The problem I am having is figuring out which model of what is on the safe handgun list. The Springfields are easy as the list their model number, but glock has 4 or 5 of the same pistol just a different number. Any help would be appreciated. I would hate to buy inventory I can't sell. Thanks

That's not quite what I see on the list:
    PHP Code:
    17 SteelPolymer     Pistol     4.49"     9mm
    17 OD / Steel, Polymer     Pistol     4.49"
    9mm
    17C
    SteelPolymer     Pistol     4.49"     9mm
That's normal black, Olive drab/green, and Compensated. Pretty much all the models are listed in that triplet, plus the 21 and 30 SF models.

The Glock web site just lists them by G[model number]

    What are you seeing?

I am using RSR their catalog. I'll use the Glock 17 as an example.
      GL1750101 Glock 17 9mm AS 10 round
      GL1750201 Glock 17 9mm FS 10 round
      GL1750701 Glock 17 9mm GNS 10round
      GL1757201 Glock 17 9mm OD GRN 10 round
I understand the OD green one but am not quite sure on the other 3. I know they are out of Nevada so I am not quite sure their sales people will be up to speed. Thanks for your help.

All of those are OK in CA. Adjustable Sights (AS), Fixed Sights (FS), and Glock Night Sights (GNS) don't make a difference.

Right. And you (OCArmory) correctly picked the versions with 10-round magazines.

So, order what you think you can sell. All of mine are FS - I'd guess that that's the most commonly purchased config, but I really don't have any data.

Don't know why there are disparaging comments here - the OP had a question, asked it, and is getting what seems to me to be an answer. That's lots better than making up answers and making business mistakes, isn't it?

Yep, they will tell you whats CA compliant. I hear very experianced ffls asking if its on list or not when trying to find guns for customers.

I can see the OP not knowing all makes/models of pistols. Especially if he hasn't had any personal expierence with Glocks. Maybe all of his past shooting experience has been with S&Ws or just 1911s before he got into the business. You can't really blame him for not knowing about the different sight options for Glocks. I only know what they are because I like Glocks and had to make my sight decision when I was purchasing my G19.

Well I guess that will be the last question I ask here. I am trying to run a viable business, not trying to stock inventory I don't need. Several of the items are self explanatory on the list and some are not. I have a 3 year lease so I don't think I am going anywhere in one year. If you have a problem with me i would appreciate a PM explaining what I can do different. I am not here to step on anyone's toes. Just trying to make a little money. If you don't appreciate another FFL that's fine but please don't fill my post with off topic stuff. I was looking for a legitimate answer to a question. And to the remark about knowing the score before getting in the game. Even your most holy highly regarded FFL's started somewhere.

Trader Jack won't be joining us for a while, that kind of rudeness is just not acceptable here.
