Help me identify the upgrades on this Kimber

This is listed on Armslist, but the owner does not indicate what the upgrades are. Can you identify the upgrades on this Ultra Carry II?

    Any info is most appreciated.

    Front strap checkering.
    Smith & Alexander Mag-guide.
    magazine slam pad
Grips, because usually carry 1911's do not come with grips that are mag-well cut.

    That's all I can see.

Looks similar to the Kimber Tactical Ultra II model (see link below) so maybe the upgrades were based on that gun?

There are definitely differences (Tactical Ultra II has an aluminum frame, has a stainless trigger, has night sights and ambi safety, etc.) but you get the drift. I think @5ZS nailed it.

Black trigger since 99% of the Kimbers sold have an aluminum/silver trigger.

Also that front strap checkering is not really done to the frame. If you look closely, you can see the sides of the Wilson Combat removable aluminum blued front strap checkering piece thar was added in and cut to fit (since they're too long for the Ultra frames).

Thanks for the responses, very helpful thanks. It seems like its an Ultra Carry II that's patterned after the Tactical Ultra.

I was wondering about this, and can't seem to figure out whether the checkering was fabricated on to the flat surface or it was added on top. So do you think that the frame was cut to accommodate the Wilson strap?

Lots of wear that probably places the gun near the end of the lifespan of a typical Kimber...if you consider that an upgrade.

It looks like a well abused kimber with a lot of kitchen table mods. Avoid it.

The seller does disclose that it has been a carry gun for a few years, and thus has plenty of holster wear.

I believe it has been sold. I had no plans on purchasing it even if it was still available, just curious about what the upgrades were, as other than the wear on it and grainy picture, I thought it looked really nice.
