Yes, they are CA ship friendly. Not sure what their normal capacity magazine policy is at the moment.

Are the new Performance Center Ported 5" models available yet. Last i heard the 4" have been obtainable but people were having issues finding the 5" ported models. The only 5" ported CORE models i have heard of were from private sellers and they were on the high side price wise. Things may have changed, i have been out of the mix on this one for a while.

They are trickling out. Murphy's law of buyer regret says - as soon as you buy the CORE, the Performance Center 5" will be everywhere.

This place has one in stock: http://tooeleshootingsupply.com/shop...-wesson-10098/

                  FirearmsForSale.com had some recently.

                    Transfer/SSE & mag blocking fee?
Most places I see are $100 for transfer fee + SSE + DROS + mag blocks

So $685 + tax. Most places I see that SSE these are around $720 plus tax and DROS. So I don't think the $830 is uncommon but it's fairly high.

The reason to get a non ported one is home defense. If you want to use a ported handgun for home defense, that's your option, but at night, it's just not the best option IMO. But that's not the point of this thread. Either way there is your rebuttal for "why not get the performance center M&P?"

So, $830 is high but if you can't get it transferred in and definitely want it, then go for it. The 5" Pro Core is one of my last two and there just isn't much I can do besides pay the little extra. I'm not going to pay someone's ridiculous price of $1200 next year, so I'll pay a slightly higher price now. I'll be paying ~$750 OTD if that helps.

$580 vs $720 price for the 5" version, guess depends how much you want a ported barrel

... and a Performance Center sear, and a factory enhanced trigger, and the new grip panels, and the adjustable trigger over travel stop. And don't forget the enhanced resale value should one decide to sell later. For my money, I'd say it is worth it.

I forgot to add the $25 SSE fee that RifleGear charges.

I'd also give Grant @ AmmoParadise a call 714-864-8064. He has them even cheaper than RifleGear but it's OOS on the website. They do have a .40 in stock.
