    CZ 75B vs SP-01

Please educate me on the differences. I have the CZ 75B which I love and shoot well but there is so much talk about how good the SP-01 is. Does the SP-01 have functional or design features that make it shoot better than the CZ 75B? Or, is it just an ergonomic thing and the SP-01 just feels better. Specs look very similar.

I believe Tok goes into a lot of detail in his post here.

Any questions you may have about the difference should be illustrated there.

Soooo many differences. But there both CZ's, and that's what matters lol. I like both slightly different ergos. But both excellent.
That and Tok is one of the most informative on CZ's besides Datta, CAGLS, and Zfields (if he ever logs on again lol).

Main difference is the sp01 is much heavier, some people prefer the lighter 75b. The up swept beaver tail on the sp01 theoretically allows a higher/better grip, although I think its more noticeable to those with bigger hands.

Regarding the extra weight, it's all in the front, and the gun feels totally different. I saw a interview with Angus hobdell and he said the extra weight has it's drawbacks as well, and there are things that are done easier with the 75b

I think for now I will stay with my CZ 75B SA. I've had a heavier gun and I did not like the weight. The SA has the upswept beaver tail and I like the straight SA trigger. Thanks for everybody's help. Saved me some cash.

The SP-01 is only a tad heavier than the CZ 75 SA, but that little bit of extra weight is in a place where it counts to really tame recoil.

My buddy has an SP01 Australian Shadow and I have a CZ 75 SA SP01 Australian Shadow and the only difference between our setups is the full dustcover with the rail on the SP01 and a DA/SA vs. a SA trigger setups. The difference in muzzle flip between the was very noticeable when using the same ammo.

Is it worth the extra money? That depends on you. Having a full rail is nice but I really do like the classic look of the SA frame with the upswept beavertail.

I wish I would have come back to the fold sooner as I was unaware about the SSE option going away at the end of the year and of course the SP01 Shadows are all out of stock
